CHRIS Pennell is set to make his first appearance of pre-season in Warriors' match against Exeter Chiefs at Sixways tomorrow night (7.30pm).

Pennell has not pulled on a Warriors jersey since his international debut for England earlier this summer.

Just five of the 15 that started the 22-16 defeat at Sale Sharks remain in the line-up as director of rugby Dean Ryan experiments one last time before the Greene King IPA Championship opener at Bristol on Sunday, September 7.

Full-back Pennell is among a much-changed backline that features Tom Biggs, who will make his Warriors debut, Andy Symons, Alex Grove, Ignacio Mieres and Jonny Arr.

Academy graduate Ben Howard is among the replacements despite having notched two tries in his last two matches.

Warriors: Pennell; Smith, Grove, Symons, Biggs; Mieres, Arr; Bower, George, Schonert, Scotland-Williamson, Sanderson, Williams, Cox, van Velze.

Replacements: Annett, Rapava-Ruskin, Daniels, Percival, Betty, Mulchrone, Eden, Stelling, Fatiaki, Hammond, Howard.
