WORCESTER Warriors skipper Jean-Baptiste Bruzulier insists today’s British and Irish Cup final against Doncaster Knights (5.10pm) will be the biggest game of his career.

The scrum-half will be backed by around 800 travelling fans as Warriors search for the first silverware of the Dean Ryan era at Castle Park.

The 22-year-old Bruzulier has already led the group of players to the Aviva- League final where they were pipped 27-19 by Saracens Storm at Sixways.

“We lost in the Aviva ALeague final so we’ve got a chance to put that right and we want to bring some silverware to the club,” said Bruzulier.

“It’ll be a proud moment for me. It’s going to be the biggest game of my rugby career so far. “ Cooper Vuna has been drafted into the Warriors side and starts in a back-three with full-back Ben Howard and fellow wing Dean Hammond.

Youngster Tiff Eden has been given the nod at fly-half where he will link up with centres Ravai Fatiaki and Alex Grove.

Ofa Fainga’anuku lines up next to Dan George and Joe Rees in the front row, while Dan Sanderson and James Percival start in the second row.

Matt Cox and Mat Gilbert are joined in the back row by England Sevens international Richard de Carpentier.

Former Rotherham skipper Charlie Mulchrone is on the bench and has plenty of experience of playing against Doncaster Knights.

“You know you are going to get one heck of a physical battle from Donny,” he said.

“There’s some stout Yorkshiremen and it’s going to be an all-out battle.

“Playing styles tend to go out of the window when it comes to finals and it’s just all about getting the win and we will do whatever it takes.

“If you look at Doncaster’s form recently, they turned over Bristol in the semi-final, drew with London Scottish and won all their British and Irish Cup games. It’s going to make for an interesting final.”

Warriors and Doncaster completed the pool stages of this season’s competition with unblemished records after winning all six matches.

Doncaster qualified as top seeds after picking up five try-scoring bonus points from home and away victories against Cornish Pirates, Bedford Blues and Cross Keys.

Warriors did the double over Nottingham, Munster ‘A’ and Moseley in the pool stages.

In the quarter-finals, Doncaster overcame Munster ‘A’ and toppled Bristol in the semi-finals, while Warriors defeated Pontypridd and holders Leinster ‘A’.
