FULL-BACK Ben Howard says Worcester Warriors are ready to ‘put right some wrongs’ in tonight’s Championship play-off semi-final second leg against London Scottish at Sixways (7.45pm).

Warriors lead 27-22 from the first leg at Scottish but Howard admits it was a disappointing display from his side after a bright start.

“We know we weren’t as good last Saturday as we should be,” said Howard.

“We are eager to come out and put right some wrongs and put in a performance for the fans.

“The support has been great all year. You look at the away trips we’ve had and in a lot of games the away fans have been as strong as the home fans in numbers.

“You see the same faces supporting us week in week out and we appreciate that and hopefully the supporters will get behind us on Friday night.”

Howard is pleased with the insight offered by coaching consultant Jim McKay, a former attack coach with the Australian team, who has returned to the club for the play-offs.

“Jim is back in helping us out,” said Howard.

“He offers a different perspective and Jim helps the players and the coaches by offering a different point of view which I find refreshing. I know a lot of guys feel the same. He’s very helpful and a very good person to have around the place.”
