NOTTINGHAM have signed former Worcester Warriors winger James Stephenson on a one-year deal.

The 26-year-old joins Nottingham from fellow Championship side Ealing Trailfinders and will add an extra option on the wing for incoming head coach Ian Costello.

London-born Stephenson counts Blackheath among his former clubs, where he scored 19 tries in one season with the National League One side before signing for Bedford Blues in 2012, where he went on to collect 16 tries in 22 Championship appearances, earning himself a two-year deal at Worcester Warriors.

He was also capped for England Sevens at the Wellington and Las Vegas tournaments before heading back home to Ealing last summer, where his rugby career began, going on to make 15 appearances, scoring four tries.

Director of rugby at Nottingham Simon Beatham said: "It's great to be able to welcome James to The Bay for the upcoming season.

"QHe's got all the attributes that we were looking for in a winger and his past record speaks for itself.

"Our playing and coaching staff for next season is really coming together nicely now and we'll be ready and raring to go, come the start of pre-season training."
