WORCESTER Warriors chief Dean Ryan doesn’t expect any players from last season’s Aviva Premiership squad to be picked for England’s summer tours.

England are playing a senior three Test series in Australia and the Saxons are travelling to South Africa for two matches against Springboks A.

Full-back Chris Pennell and rookie props Nick Schonert and Val Rapava Ruskin have all been mooted as possible candidates for a tour.

Pennell has previously played for the Saxons and won his sole England cap against New Zealand at Auckland in June 2014.

Schonert and Ruskin have both impressed for Warriors in their maiden season in England's top tier.

But Ryan admits he hasn’t heard anything from England head coach Eddie Jones.

However, he is aware of the interest from the Grand Slam winners in Warriors’ summer arrival Ben Te’o from Irish outfit Leinster.

The squad for England’s main tour is being announced on May 22, with the Saxons party named 24 hours later.

When asked if he expected any Warriors players to be picked for England this summer, Ryan said: “I don’t think so. Not that I am aware of.

“It’s in the public domain that Te’o is being considered but I don’t think any of our other players are being considered – not that I’ve heard of.

"These are questions for Eddie (Jones).”

He added: “I think Chris (Pennell) has been outstanding for us. But I don’t select the England or Saxons sides so that’s a question for someone else.”

The powerful Te’o has just picked up Leinster’s top award following a sensational season in the Guinness Pro 12.

Te’o, a hard hitting inside centre, scooped Leinster’s players’ player of the year accolade, edging out Test prop Jack McGrath, centre partner Garry Ringrose and flanker Josh van der Flier.

Leading into Leinster's home semi-final against Ulster, the 29-year-old has played 25 matches this season.

Te'o has already said he is joining Warriors with the goal of breaking into Jones’ England squad.
