Mat Gilbert is the only professional deaf rugby player in the UK.
FORMER Worcester Warriors back-row forward Mat Gilbert has signed for National One outfit Hartpury College.
Gilbert, a former Bath player, had two seasons at Sixways but did not feature in the Aviva Premiership last term.
He is the only professional deaf rugby player in the UK.
Hartpury head coach Mark Cornwell said: “He can play flanker or number eight and his experience of playing at a higher level will be crucial to our forthcoming league campaign."
