WORCESTER Warriors' Francois Hougaard has been recalled for South Africa's opening two matches of the 2016 Rugby Championship against Argentina.
Springbok coach Allister Coetzee has included the 28-year-old scrum-half in a squad of 31 players.
Hougaard, who is a travelling reserve for the South African sevens squad at the 2016 Olympics in Rio, is due to join up with the XV squad a week tomorrow.
The first Test is against Argentina on Saturday, August 20, in the Mbombela Stadium, Nelspruit.
The return is on Saturday, August 27, at the Estadio Padre Ernesto Martearena, Salta.
Coetzee said Hougaard had previously been unavailable due to his sevens duties and he will bring vast experience to the side.
