WING duo Cooper Vuna and Perry Humphreys are in rehabilitation after suffering knee injuries, backs coach Sam Vesty confirmed.

Flanker Sam Betty (concussion) took a bang on the head in Worcester’s 19-12 defeat against Russian side Enisei-STM in the European Challenge Cup last Saturday.

Vuna, the former Australian international, who topped Warriors’ Aviva Premiership try-scoring chart last season, was hurt in the first half of Warriors’ 11-9 vital win against Newcastle Falcons.

Vuna, 29, scored nine top-tier tries last season.

“Coops took a significant knee injury and we’re managing it conservatively,” said Vesty.

“He’s in full rehab all the time and working very hard in that aspect.

“It’s too early to know timeframes on the injury but the management of it will be conservative.”

Humphreys, 22, damaged his medial knee ligaments in Worcester’s 34-13 defeat against Leicester Tigers at Welford Road.

Humphreys has made six Premiership appearances this term, scoring tries against Gloucester, Bath and Sale Sharks.

Vesty said: “Perry damaged his medial ligaments. He is in the early parts of rehab.”

There is encouraging news for wing Tom Biggs, who has been out of action so far this campaign with a long-standing ankle problem.

“Biggsy will be back in training very shortly,” said Vesty.

However, former Bath lock Will Spencer (back) remains sidelined and is yet to make a competitive appearance since arriving from the Recreation Ground in the summer.

“Will is still with the medical team”, said Vesty, the former Bath and Leicester Tigers star.
