LOCK Darren Barry insists Warriors will be looking to put things right when they come up against high-flying Wasps at Sixways tomorrow (3pm).

Warriors crashed a 57-22 defeat to Exeter Chiefs at Sandy Park last Saturday against last season’s Premiership finalists.

And Barry admits his side will be looking to make amends in the Aviva Premiership West Midlands derby with Wasps.

He said: “We can’t ignore last weekend and the fear of playing like that again will drive us forward for the rest of the season.

“The boys have been working hard with a high intensity and that will show in the manner in which we conduct ourselves on the pitch tomorrow.”

Warriors have lost one Premiership game at Sixways this season and will be looking to halt a Wasps side which has racked-up 38 tries in their opening nine league games.

According to Barry, the players believe they can beat the best sides in the league.

He said: “Wasps are firing on all cylinders so we have to make sure our individual performances are better. There’s no reason we can’t beat a team like Wasps.

“The coaches believe in us and the players believe in each other. We need to make sure Exeter was a one-off and we’ll be aiming for a different result tomorrow.”

With Wasps’ Ricoh Arena less than 50 miles from Sixways, Warriors will be hoping for a bumper crowd.

And Barry admits the Sixways supporters can make all the difference as Warriors go in search of their second league win of the season.

He said: “A big crowd will really help the boys get the result and performance we need after a tough week.

"When the boys are tired and we hear the noise and the chants from the Sixways crowd it really does pick us up and we want to repay the fans for all their support.”
