VASTLY-experienced scrum-half Peter Stringer and flanker Dewald Potgieter have been left out of Worcester Warriors’ European Challenge Cup squad.

Stringer, whose deal at Warriors ends in December, has not been registered to play in the competition with Warriors selecting number nines Jonny Arr, Francois Hougaard, Luke Baldwin and Michael Dowsett.

Potgieter has also not been named in the 41-strong squad despite being due to return from a knee injury in December.

Injured centre Max Stelling (ankle) and crocked back rower Marco Mama (knee) are the other notable omissions.

Hooker Niall Annett has been registered despite facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines with an anterior cruciate ligament injury.

Warriors take on Brive at Sixways on Saturday (3pm) before visiting Connacht the following Saturday.
