BRYCE Heem and Nick Schonert will make their comebacks from injury when Worcester Warriors host Sale Sharks in their Anglo-Welsh Cup opener on Friday (7.45pm).

Tighthead prop Schonert has overcome an ankle injury and will make his first appearance since early September while Heem has been named at full-back after recovering from a quad problem.

Schonert starts in the front row alongside Gareth Milasinovich, who moves to loosehead, and academy hooker Beck Cutting who will make his first-team debut.

Christian Scotland-Williamson lines up next to Darren Barry in the second row with the latter making his first start of the campaign.

New signing Andrew Durutalo gets ready for his debut as does academy number eight Tom Dodd as they occupy the back row with Huw Taylor.

Heem joins Tom Howe and Dean Hammond in the back three.

Academy centre Will Butler will captain the side after leading Worcester Cavaliers to their first Premiership Rugby A League win of the season last week against Wasps.

This will also be his second appearance for the club following his debut in October 2016 against Enisei-STM in Russia.

He will be joined by Max Stelling in the centres, who is set for his first Warriors appearance since coming off the bench to score against Enisei-STM at Sixways in January.

Michael Dowsett gets the nod at scrum-half after impressing for the Cavaliers and lines up next to Tom Heathcote.

On the bench, academy youngsters Nick Rigby and Ted Hill could make their Warriors debuts, as could under 18s ace Ollie Lawrence and Stourbridge’s Charlie Jeavons-Fellows.

Luke Baldwin could make his return from a bicep injury and Andrew Kitchener prepares for his first Warriors outing since February, should he feature from the replacements bench.
