WORCESTER Warriors star Josh Adams is being linked with a summer move to the Dragons after being called up to Wales' squad for the first time.

According to Wales Online, the Pro14 outfit are pulling out all the stops to sign the uncapped 22-year-old wing.

Adams’ contract does not expire until the end of the 2018-19 campaign but it is understood the Dragons want to snap him up for next term.

Warriors refused to comment on the speculation when contacted by the Worcester News.

Adams has been named in Warren Gatland’s 39-man squad for next month's Six Nations after a stunning start to the season with Warriors.

The ex-Scarlets ace has climbed to the top of the Aviva Premiership’s try-scoring charts with nine tries in 13 games.

But under the new 60-cap rule brought in by the WRU he will need to move to a Welsh region when his current deal runs out in the summer of 2019.

Ross Moriarty and Richard Hibbard will leave Gloucester to join Dragons at the end of this season to keep their hopes of being involved with Wales alive.

As Adams is under contract, the Welsh side would have to pay a transfer fee to prise him away from Worcester.

Swansea-born Adams joined Warriors’ academy from the Scarlets in 2015 and has gone on to score 24 tries in 39 first-team appearances.

Speaking to Adams last month, he said: “I am really enjoying playing every week in the Premiership.

“It’s the best league in the world and I will keep improving week in week out.”
