Why would an ‘Aldi mum’ vote Labour?
Karl Hunderson wrote:
Well, they certainly wouldn't want to vote UKIP/BNP unless they wanted to be addressed in derogatory terms and have unequal pay.

Green deal should see thousands of bills cut
A proper green initiative to be welcomed. However, Carillion is accused by one major trade union as having been "involved in a scheme which blacklisted Trade Union members and who have presided over a culture of bullying and discrimination" and they were kicked out of the Labour Party conference this week. Oops.

"How can we survive," asks Worcester city centre trader
Who does he expect to be shopping in the middle of the afternoon during the week?
If you have money then you are probably working (to get it) at that time.
If you are not working then you don't have the money to spend.
The style of life has changed, the people with money are out shopping on Saturdays and Sundays, small shops should reverse their opening days and close Monday/Tuesday but open Sundays. If they don't then the shops that do (large out of town retail parks) will hoover up the shoppers.

Further reduction in the number of Worcester jobseekers
The staff will no doubt find jobs, in time. But I suspect it will be on lower wages than they are used to.
Also, there have been reports that private sector companies are often unwilling to hire ex-public sector workers, who might need considerable retraining, including a complete attitude change, and who might have highly developed skills which are simply not relevant in the private sector. That's no reflection on individuals, it's just that the public and private sectors often do different jobs.
Actuallly more tea? the council usually train the Private sector people as to what is required of a service,

Disgraceful. My boiler is 30 years old. I work but I cannot afford to replace it. I just hope it doesn't conk out and try not to use it too much. You could perhaps become a scrounger for a month and get your free boiler. Next thing will be these individuals failing to pay their heating costs and all of us then having to bail the fuel companies out of that!

Two questions I’d like answers to, please
Easy. Start at the bottom and work your way up! Get a job that needs no experience and is mundane. At least stick it out until you find something better. You're more likely to get a job whilst you're actually in employment. Work at it - no good moping about it!Fair comment but even the jobs at the "bottom" are asking for experience too.
