Notice is hereby given that an Inspector will be appointed by the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs to determine OXFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL Watlington Footpath No. 36 Modification Order 2019 and will attend at: County Hall, New Road, Oxford, Oxfordshire, OX1 1ND

Anyone wishing to attend the inquiry virtually must register that interest with the Council as soon as possible prior to the Inquiry, but no later than midnight on Wednesday 13 July 2022, either by email or telephone, details of which are set out at the bottom of this notice. To take part using video, participants will need to have access to Microsoft Teams (via an app or web browser). The link

Registered participants will receive individual joining instructions, providing details of any requirements, guidance and support, whether joining by Teams or telephone. Information regarding social distancing, face masks etc. will be displayed at the venue. There are hand sanitising points at the main entrance and also close to the rooms where the inquiry will be held. The Council envisages making all inquiry documents available via the 'Files' tab of the MS Team that will be set up for the Inquiry and encouraging participants to use this to view documents electronically wherever possible (using their own laptops), but it will supply a bundle for the Inspector and have some additional copies available in case any attendees are unable to view it electronically. The effect of the Order, if confirmed without modifications, will be to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by:- Adding to them the footpath from Watlington Footpath No. 27 at St Leonard's Church car park at grid reference SP 6848 9469 running in a generally southeasterly, easterly, then north-easterly direction for approximately 101 metres to a point situated at grid reference SP 6857 9471 then turning to run in a generally south-easterly direction where it crosses a stream, continuing for approximately 60 metres to a junction with Watlington Footpath No. 27 at Church Meadow at grid reference SP 6860 9466.
