3 double bedrooms, bathroom. Lobby, sitting/dining room, kitchen/breakfast room,

good cellar. Paved terrace, enclosed rear garden.

The Property

This Grade II Listed cottage dates from the late 17th Century albeit with earlier origins. The front facade has been refaced with brick and rusticated stone quoins, and is now painted. It was extended at the rear some years ago and has been extensively renovated throughout. There are period details throughout, with the exposed timbers in the attic and the old fireplace in the cellar of particular note. The far reaching country views to the rear, and the town centre facilities on your door step, combine to make this a desirable property.

The Accommodation

The front door leads into a lobby with further part glazed door to the sitting/dining room. This is a lovely room with a fireplace and log burning stove, built-in cupboards and a mullion style window to the front. A door and stairs lead to a cellar providing excellent storage and a very old fireplace predating the house. The kitchen/breakfast room catches the early morning sun and has a built-in cooker, hob with extractor hood over and integrated washing machine. On the first floor bedroom 2 has built-in wardrobes and overlooks the garden to the rear, bedroom 3 also has built-in wardrobes and a stone mullion window to the front. The bathroom has a white suite with mains shower over the bath. On the second floor, the attic bedroom/bedroom 1 has exposed beams and a dormer window with far reaching views to the rear.

A paved terrace adjoins the rear with steps down to an enclosed lawned garden with borders and wooden shed.

All mains connected. The gas boiler is in the kitchen and supplies central heating and hot water. Council Tax Band C - £1.794.02 payable for 2020/21. There is no EPC as the cottage is Grade II Listed.
