Simon Pegg has admitted writing the script for the new Star Trek film is “enjoyable but frazzling”.
The Man Up star will reprise his role as Scotty for Star Trek 3, but this time he will also co-pen the script.
Simon revealed: “I’m trying to co-write it with my very capable co-writer Doug Jung and the director Justin Lin.
“It’s a lot of pressure and it feels like there’s a huge number of people who are waiting to tear it to pieces, but then, that’s just the world at the moment.”
His previous writing experience includes the Cornetto trilogy – Shaun Of The Dead, Hot Fuzz and The World’s End – alongside Edgar Wright, as well as Run Fatboy Run, all of which he also starred in.
The 45-year-old actor – currently starring in romantic comedy Man Up with Lake Bell – left Twitter last year and his account has become a news feed.
Asked why he left the social media site, he said: “It just makes you very available to people who just want to make you miserable.”
