Actor Damian Lewis is in the final stages of talks to star in the all-female Ocean’s Eight film.
The Homeland star will be joining the likes of Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Rihanna and Sarah Paulson in the Ocean’s Eleven spin-off.
Variety magazine reported that the father-of-two, 45, had been spotted several times on the set of the film, set to be released in 2018, and will be playing “more than a simple cameo”.
A representative for the actor said they were aware that he is in “in final negotiations”, but added that “the deal is not yet closed”.
He is already listed on movie website Imdb.com has being involved in the film, alongside original Ocean’s Eleven, Ocean’s Twelve and Ocean’s Thirteen star Matt Damon.
According to the magazine, Damian will be playing Bullock’s ex-lover and target of her gang of con artists’ major robbery plot.
Ocean’s Eight is written by Gary Ross and Olivia Milch, with Gary directing.
