PC OWNERS in Worcestershire are being warned Microsoft is to stop support for the Windows XP system on Tuesday, April 8.
This means that users of the 12-year-old system, which is thought to still be used on about 30 per cent of computers, will be unable to get help from the company if something goes wrong.
Although Microsoft will continue to provide virus warnings until July 2015 next year, the company is advising owners to upgrade to keep their computers safe and secure.
