READING our Journal this week (March 27), among the occasional item of good news I was especially saddened to read of the increased attacks on local Christian religious and other premises.
Christianity across the world is now under attack from many quarters, but smashing and robbing "12th century collection boxes" and burning church, police station and library doors is well beyond any young mischief-making prank!
These people need catching, and quickly!
Are they local or passing through? Are they long-term residents, or new to the area?
This behaviour is totally alien to English rural life and causes great distress to local residents who have worked hard over many years and paid for these amenities!
This vandalism needs nipping in the bud, and any evidence should be given to the police.
English traditions and values are being eroded faster now, than at any point in my entire lifetime. We should all unite and help preserve this valuable heritage we all have!
