A PAPER chain stretching hundreds of metres from the new Evesham bridge to the historic Workman Bridge will be created next month in order to raise money for children in the Vale.
The Rotary Club in Evesham is planning to help children in its area by creating the huge paper chain on Saturday, June 21, which they are calling Link Day.
With the help of local school children and businesses the club will link the bridges, which are 876 meters apart, along Waterside with individual rings, each sponsored by people in the town and further afield.
To sponsor a link it will cost £1 and a message can be written on it. ? All monies raised will be going to help children in the Vale through their schools, local charities and volunteer organisations including such events as Kids Out and the Christmas Pantomime, two of Rotary's local child based projects.
To take part visit The Almonry Heritage Centre in Merstow Green or for more information visit therotaryclubofevesham.org.uk.?
