A NINE-piece funk, soul and blues band is on the look out for some new backing singers.
Kinky Farnham has a full horn section and a set of 40 songs including covers from the 1960s such as Otis Reading’s Hard to Handle to contemporary hits such as Daft Punk’s Get Lucky.
Since it was formed 18 months ago by vocalistTomThreadgill, aged 36, of Blockley, and bassist William Bennett , 36, it is now looking to increase its stage presence.
MrThreadgill said part of the reason the band works so well is because of the range of ages of its members and the combination of age and flare it brings.
The youngest member is 19-year-old Josh Bonner, from Moreton, while the oldest member is 45-year-old Mickleton farmer, Chris Slatter, who is the most recent member to join the band.
All other members live in the North Cotswolds and play a variety of instruments.
Anyone interested can get a taste of what they would be signing up for when the band play at The Bakers Arms, in Broad Campden, on Sunday at 3pm on the lawn and entry is free.
