MEMBERS of Evesham Rambling Club have just returned from Germany, where they spent five days walking 80km of the demanding Rhine Castle Way.
The route took them along the course of the Rhine and offered spectacular views over this famous section of the river with its many castles and steeply sloping vineyards.
The party of 13 enjoyed excellent weather conditions for walking and also found time to enjoy the local cuisine. The region is famous for its wine and members were able to sample the local products.
The trip is one of a number of holidays the Evesham Rambling Club has organised for this year, both in the UK and abroad. Next year, members are off to the Dolomites for an Alpine walking holiday.
The club also has a regular programme of walks, and welcomes new members. To find out more, visit eveshamramblingclub.org.uk.
