Beer festivals, coffee mornings and free fitness classes - there's something for everyone going on  this weekend.

The weather is set to be dry with lots of sunshine on Saturday and Sunday. Temperatures set to reach 16C.

The Great Bransgore Beer & Music Festival takes place this weekend. The event, at The Three Tuns Inn, Bransgore, also includes more than more than 60 beers, 40 ciders and fine wines. There will also be live entertainment from the likes of Big Town Boppers, Riverside Blue Band, Johnson Van Dykes, Rat Race, Nick Hayward Young and a Jonny Cash Tribute. Takes place from Friday until Sunday. Tickets are £10 each and are available on the gate. 

A charity auction takes place on Friday night to raise funds in memory of local man and keen footballer Shane Stanley, who died suddenly from a cardiac arrest. The Stanley Cup Memorabilia Charity Auction takes place at Hamworthy Labour Club at 8pm and items to be bid for include signed Southampton shirts and boots from Southampton players and a 2014 Liverpool commemorative poppy appeal shirt. Money raised will go to CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young).

St John Ambulance volunteers will be doing a free first aid demonstration in Ringwood on Saturday. The event is part of its month-long campaign, Save a Life September, to raise awareness of the importance of first aid. The event, which runs from 9.30am until 4.30pm, outside Ringwood Town Council’s offices on The Furlong. Find out more at sja.org.uk/savealifeseptember

A recruitment day is to take place at Poole Lifeboat station on Saturday from 10am until 2pm. RNLI volunteers are needed for a variety of different roles.Currently, all lifeboat crew are volunteers, as well as members of 'sea safety' and 'visits' teams, fundraisers, Poole Old Lifeboat Museum helpers, marketing and sales promoters and more.

A tea and coffee charity day is being held by Poole resident Judy Gollop in memory of Isabel Baker, the Christchurch toddler who died of cancer at a year old. The money raised will go towards helping other children with similar illnesses and a raffle will be held on the day. It takes place at 2 Good Road on Saturday from 10.30am to 4pm.

Coda Music Trust, in association with Highcliffe Community Association, is hosting a day of activities at Greystones House in Highcliffe from 10am to 4pm on Sunday, as part of Silver Sunday, an annual day of fun and free activities for older people in the UK. Workshops include art, quilting, craft, Mahjong, information technology, photography, genealogy, flower arranging and learning the Ukelele, no booking required. A Dorset beer festival takes place at the Hall & Woodhouse Brewery on Saturday from 11am to 10pm to raise money for Dorset Air Ambulance, Alzheimer’s Society, Teddy 20 and the Blandford Opportunity Group. There will be more than 40 beers and ciders from local brewers and cider producers. Tickets £5 available at hallwoodhousebeerfest.com.

An afternoon tea is being held to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the formation of Parkstone Sea Cadets and ex-cadets, along with those interested in the unit, are welcome to attend. It takes place on Saturday at 2pm and current cadets are proud to showcase their skills and achievements including boating, drill, PT displays and the fun of being part of a successful unit. Drink tea and help raise money for Macmillan on Saturday at the Shelley Theatre in Boscombe. The venue will be holding an event as part of the Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning between 10am and 12pm.

Smedmore House in Kimmeridge will be holding an open day on Sunday in what will be the last opportunity to enjoy the house and gardens of the year. The event will see a host of stalls and games in the garden, plus there’s the opportunity to take a guided tour of the house. There will be music from the Wareham Town Band, plus the Can-Am Car Club will be attending. The event, which is being held to raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association, costs £5 for adults. Under 15s go free.
