CHILDREN can meet Santa Claus at the Bishops Wood Centre near Stourport on Sunday, December 13.

The centre is holding an outdoor Christmas nature trail and Santa's grotto, and children can make decorations and gifts from natural and recycled materials.

There will also be mince pies and mulled fruit juice.

Chairman of the Friends of Bishops Wood, Catherine Maguire, said: “We always find that parents welcome this event when they can relax and help their children discover the pleasure of making a range of gifts and decorations using simple natural materials and items that would otherwise be thrown away. This is in keeping with the ethos of Bishops Wood. There is no additional charge for the craft activities, nature trail and visit to Santa so this will also help hard-pressed parents.”

A donation is welcomed of £3 per person or a family ticket for £10.
