EVESHAM firefighters rushed to the scene of a lorry fire in Harvington earlier today (Thursday).

The blaze destroyed the cab of the seven-and-a-half tonne lorry and damaged the cargo, but luckily no one was injured.

The Evesham crew were alerted at 11.03am and tackled the fire using four breathing apparatuses and two hose reels.

A spokesperson for Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said it is not known what the lorry was carrying.
