A CHORUS raised more than £1,200 to help fund research into treating brain tumours.
The Vale Connection, an a cappella chorus, held a concert in September at Evesham Methodist Church in aid of the Oxford Neuro-Oncology unit.
A spokesman for the group said: "The chorus showed its diverse range by singing songs from traditional barbershop, film music, African chants, and rather cheeky songs as well as some touching love songs. We enjoy singing them all and the company of the other women in the chorus.
"The cause is one close to the hearts of chorus members as we have personal examples of the help the research unit has given to people in those times of great need."
Music was also provided on the night by Arioso wind ensemble and guests enjoyed cakes at the interval.
The next concert will be held on Thursday, October 27, at Stratford Arts House in Rother Street, Stratford-upon-Avon.
There will be music from mezzo soprano Rachael Lloyd, Shades of Black wind band, stand up comedy from Roger Gowland and Dave, along with songs from the Vale Connection.
