A DISABLED driver with a racing car dream has been offered a test race with a team competing in the 2018 Renault Clio Cup.

Chris Carter, from Evesham has been offered to try out for Matrix Motorsport but says he needs to raise £2,000 to be able to take on the test.

Mr Carter who suffers from cerebral palsy was told he would never be able to drive, but has long held a dream of becoming a racing driver.

The father of two has passed a manual driving test and he wants to show other disabled people that they can realise their dreams by competing.

He said: "This is a massive opportunity for me and I am looking for sponsors and businesses to partner with.

"The money will include use of a car, with data logging, an engineer and tuition."
