A PAIR of friends from Offenham are getting on their bikes to take action against breast, ovarian and cervical cancer.

As part of a group of woman tackling the ninth Women v Cancer challenge, Claire Allen and Claire Penny will be riding from London to Paris over three days.

Previous Women v Cancer cycle challenges in Kenya, India, Cuba, China, Africa, Vietnam & Cambodia ,the UK, and Brazil hove raised over £9

million for the three charities.

Women of all ages and cycling abilities from across the UK are joining the battle in September 2018.

The group will cycle around 240 miles over the three days.

They are hoping to raise a minimum of £1,600 each during the fundraising challenge.

So far, the pair have got sponsorship from Evesham Self Drive, Perducam, Chapmans Opticians, Print Revolution and Tesco Stores.

Their next Fundraising event will be a Mothers Day afternoon tea on Saturday March 10 held from 3pm to 5pm at Offenham Village Hall.

This is a ticket only event.
