THE final act of councillor Bob Gillmor's tenure as mayor of Pershore was to hand over a donation to charities across the county.
Cllr Gillmor raised money for his two charities of the year Worcestershire Wildlife Trust and Deaf Direct and several others at his final council meeting.
Simon Sanders, fundraising manager for Deaf Direct said: It was a pleasure to be invited to the final council meeting chaired by Bob.
"We would like to thank him for his support over his mayoral year and have been pleased to work so closely with the mayor, town council and the people of Pershore.
"We look forward to continually enhancing this relationship, and wish the newly elected Mayor of Pershore our very best wishes’’
Cllr Gillmor had watched a performance of the Deaf Direct signing choir ‘Good Vibrations’ and was keen to support the charity after this.
