A WOMAN was rescued from the river by firefighters this morning.
Two crews from Evesham, a crew from Pershore and a crew from Worcester helped pull the woman from the River Avon near Abbey Road, Evesham, at 7.50am on Tuesday (May 15).
The woman had been rescued from the water and was in the back of a police car when paramedics arrived.
She was assessed and taken to the Alexandra Hospital for further checks.
