MORE road and lane closures are in store on the M5 near Worcester.

The M5 improvement scheme is to widen the roundabout, the slip road and the approaches at junction six, to add an extra lane to the roundabout and put traffic signals on the A449 and the A4538 Pershore Lane south approaches.

Narrow lanes will be in place 24 hours from Monday July 9 until Sunday July 22.

A lane will be closed at the M5 junction 6 roundabout from 8pm until 6am on Monday to Thursday next week and on the same days the week after, finishing on Thursday July 20.

There will be a lane closure on the A449 eastbound from 9pm until 6am on Monday to Friday next week and on the same days the week after.

During the work, there will be a 50 miles an hour speed limit in place, reducing down to 30 miles an hour.

A barrier will also be installed on the M5 and A4440 approaches, with a free recovery service on both Highways England and Worcestershire County Council network.
