A NEW generation of Pershore Plum Festival Royalty has been crowned to take plum roles at this years festival.
Even though the Plum Blossom Sunday event took place on the hottest day of the year, promising princesses remained cool as they were joined at the Angel Hotel by local entertainers, compare Trevor Harrison MBE who plays Eddie Grundy from The Archers and judge Henry Sandon MBE. Festival favourites Prunella, Eggbert and Queen Victoria were also in attendance.
Taking the crown in a closely fought gala afternoon was Emily Mathias aged 9 who attends Cherry Orchard First School.
Her attendants for the year will be Gracie Morgan aged 10 from Ashton Under Hill First School and Jessica Cosnett aged 8 from Abbey Park First School
