FIREFIGHTERS are encouraging people to go to an organised display rather than have fireworks at home on Bonfire Night.
Station Commander Steve Andrews from Hereford and Worcester Fires and Rescue Service's Community Risk department said: “Organised public displays are by far the safest way to enjoy Bonfire Night and so we are encouraging people to head along to one of these events with their families and friends rather than lighting fireworks themselves at home.”
HWFRS wants anyone holding an organised public bonfire or firework display to contact them so they can compile a list of events taking place in Worcestershire. The list will be online and updated regularly until Monday, November 5.
