PUMPKINS have always been a vital part of Halloween, carve out a scary face to ward off the evil spirits or if you are extra picky you can now brave the cold and go out to pick the perfect pumpkin for you.

The local farm shop, butchery and cafe are holding their pumpkin picking event starting Saturday (October 13). Enjoy pumpkin carving and other ghoulish activities in a heated marquee at Evesham Country Park, from Sunday, October 29 until Tuesday, Oct 31. Turn up anytime between 11am and 4pm and get carving. Forget making a mess all over your kitchen table. At Webb’s Of Wychbold, children can choose a pumpkin and scoop it out and trained staff will cut out a great Halloween face. Pumpkin scooping will be from Friday, October 27 until Tuesday, October 31 from 11am until 4pm each day. A cost of £4.99 includes the pumpkin and a battery operated tea light.
