A POLICE raid recovered a jewellery box including a personal photo which was given back to a 91-year-old lady.

The operation took place on Wednesday, October 17 organised by South Worcestershire officer's supported by the Local Policing Priority Team and OPU to execute a warrant in Cleeve Prior, Worcestershire.

Officers recovered 4-6 cannabis plants, a quantity of Class A drugs, two KTM motorbikes, 1 Honda motorbike, a Kawasaki quad bike, a caravan, a quantity of cash and a jewellery box including a personal photo.

The bikes, quad, caravan and jewellery box were all items that had been stolen in various incidents around the county.

The jewellery box has been reunited with its rightful owner, a partially sighted 91 year old lady from Warwickshire whose home had been burgled recently. Efforts are being made to return all goods to their owners.

Detective Chief Inspector Leighton Harding said: "The warrant executed was part of our Protect campaign to tackle serious organised crime. We hope this sends a clear message to perpetrators that we are looking into all crime reported and with the help of our new LPPT team will be tackling local priorities such as serious organised crime.

"We will continue to act on matters that are concerning our local communities and I hope this demonstrates that we are listening to your concerns and will act accordingly.

"It is great to hear that a 91 year old lady from our community has been reunited with her jewellery box that included a photo of her daughter and other sentimental items.

"I would urge anyone who does have information about crime or suspected crime in their area to contact us."
