A SCHEME aims to make use of empty homes, bringing back to life.
Wychavon District Council is raising awareness of empty homes and the extra support they offer to help owners to bring them back into use.
Wychavon offer:
Advice and information on options.
Empty Homes Assistance of up to £15,000 for qualifying properties to get them habitable.
Free advertising on lettings sites managed by councils.
Potential for financial support in selling the property.
It’s estimated that there are 1,277 empty homes in Malvern Hills and Wychavon and there are 3,926 people on the housing waiting list. While bringing empty homes back into use alone won’t tackle the housing shortage, it will all help.
