AT least three cars were reportedly targeted during a spree of vehicle break-ins.

Between 12:30am and 7:45am on Thursday, October 25, someone broke into a vehicle that was parked in a car park in The Leys, Evesham and stole a white IPad mini, an IPod, an aux cable and some loose change.

A resident says other vehicles on the street including her daughter's car were also targeted.

Liz Healey of Church Street in the Leys said: "My daughter's car was parked across the road from 29 Church Street. In the night I heard alarms but didn’t think anything of it, the next morning she set off for work to find her car window had been smashed, we called the police. Apparently they did a few break ins. My neighbour says it was about 3am."

"Apparently three men and a dog (staffie) were seen sound Fairfield trying to break into somebody’s boot, somebody on Lower Leys also had their car broken into and then the iPod/pad one too, these are just ones that I am aware of" she said.

Mrs Healey's daughter Olivia, 21 had bought the Seat Leon 15 plate recently and had been saving up for it. Mrs Healey said: "She was a bit upset but is a streetwise girl, It’s the expense too."

"She earns good money, I know that is not the point but it could’ve been worse."

South Worcestershire declined to comment on the incidents.
