A FESTIVE 'psychic supper' will take place to promote a documentary filmed in the area.

Attending the supper at Evesham Town Hall will be a number of local mediums including Paul Langford, Mike Benfell and international medium Stephen Thornton aka 'The Diceman'.

All proceeds from the evening will be donated to the 'Afterlife Project' which is being co-ordinated by Worcestershire based paranormal researcher and filmmaker Jayne Harris who has so far raised £3500 through a crowdfunding campaign and hopes the supper will help them reach their £5000 total target.

Mrs Harris said: "We are so passionate about this project, we're pulling out all the stops. Creating a documentary can be expensive, but we truly believe this subject needs to be thrown into the limelight and as we receive no funding from networks for this production, we've taken it upon ourselves to make this happen, after hearing just how important it is to so many people.

The subject of life after death is sensitive, after all we will all die. So far we've spoken with surgeons, doctors and professors to gain an academic perspective on the subject, and we're now keen to speak to people who take a more spiritual approach. We will be using the funds raised at the supper to roll out trials into near death experiences and death-bed visions as these two areas seem key in our potential understanding of what, if anything awaits us after death."

The documentary is due out in 2019 and is entitled "Afterlife."

Filming began last year when Mrs Harris and her crew visited pop singer Toyah Willcox at her home in Pershore to discuss some of Toyah's personal beliefs and experiences.

The documentary team have also spent time speaking with various religious representatives including Rev Ian Spencer at Holland House Christian Retreat near Fladbury.

"As a paranormal researcher, I visit many historic properties and learn about their supposed hauntings. Last year we held a Halloween event at the Wood Norton Hotel and guests genuinely experienced things that we could not explain by normal rational means, and so it remains a place of interest for us" said Mrs Harris.

V.I.P tickets to the festive supper cost £25 and include at least one guaranteed personal reading, a hot buffet supper and a free gift bag of goodies. There will also be a raffle on the night to win one of 2 luxury hampers.
