WHILE most of us will be spending Christmas day opening presents and enjoying our dinner, volunteers are opening their homes to homeless hounds at Dogs Trust Evesham.

Volunteers will give the dogs a temporary home whilst they wait to be adopted.

Foster carers, Lisa and Richard Castle, live in Mickleton and have fostered 10 dogs since they came on board in April. This year they are looking after Belgian Shepherd Franco. Lisa said: “Being a foster carer is so rewarding; seeing the change in the dog as they settle into a home environment and their little personalities shine through is amazing. We love lavishing our attention on them and taking them into our home whilst they wait to be adopted."
