Thrills, spills and good old traditional family fun is on offer when Kington and District Operatic Society present the pantomime Puss in Boots next week.

It will open with Jack and the Beanstalk performed by children and then the audience will be treated to a full traditional panto of Puss in Boots.

Jack the Miller’s son uses his last shilling to buy his cat some boots – suddenly he has the most fabulous talking cat, and with Puss to help him, just about anything is possible – even defeating the fearsome Ogre Grimgrab and marrying the princess.

The audiences should expect all of the traditional panto ingredients, plenty of song, laughter and audience participation – and some very dangerous killer rabbits.

The pantomime by Ben Crocker will be on at Lady Hawkins Community Leisure Centre on Thursday, February 21, Friday, December 22 and Saturday, February 23 at 7.30pm, with a matinee performance on Saturday, February 23 at 2.30pm.

Tickets are available from Tom Bounds Electrical, 32, High Street, Kington or by calling 01544 231303 in the daytime and 01544 231501 in the evening or visit www.kingtonoperatic.co.uk.
