JOEL Caines will be among the Worcester City players to benefit from game time in tomorrow’s friendly with an RAF representative team at Pershore Town (7.45).

The full-back or midfielder has been out for more than a month with a troublesome ankle injury but featured as City’s reserves won 2-1 away to their Coton Green counterparts on Saturday.

Manager John Snape confirmed Caines had come through his outing unscathed but fellow full-back Jamie Smith is unlikely to feature as his nagging neck complaint continues to cause problems.

“We decided to leave Joel out of the first team on Saturday but still wanted him to get valuable minutes so we will see how he goes,” said Snape.

“Jamie is out due to a medical condition and is under the care of a consultant. Jamal Lawrence will be part of the squad, though.

“We played James Baldwin in the first team on Saturday but he found it tough and was tired after about 25 minutes. That match fitness will take time to get back into his legs.

"We will wait to see how he is.”

On the match itself, Snape added: “It will be a tough game which is exactly what we want.

“We will change a few things and get minutes into different lads but we still want to win and I hope there is some support there.

“Hopefully our supporters will enjoy seeing a bit more of the younger lads we have coming through.”
