POLICE are investigating an assault on a man who was reportedly playing the flute in the street.
On Wednesday February 20, police were called by several sources including the victim who was busking on Bridge Street, Evesham when he was verbally assaulted by a group of young people, followed by a physical assault by one individual.
A police spokesman said: "Officers were at the scene within four minutes of being informed. The offender had left the scene, the victim was identified and has provided a witness statement, and further witnesses have been spoken to and CCTV identified. The main suspect has been identified and enquiries are ongoing."
The victim is believed to be a well known busker who regularly plays the flute on Bridge Street.
