POLICE are investigating a report of a racially aggravated incident in Pershore.

It happened at the Turkish Mangal take-away on High Street at 10.30pm on Monday, February 25.

A male staff member was working when a man entered and is alleged to have been racially and religiously abusive. He then punched the member of staff to the face before leaving the shop.

The man is described as white, between 5ft 9in and 5ft 11in tall, in his 50s, of medium to large build. He had a ginger beard, shaved head and was wearing a fluorescent jacket with a dark red jumper underneath.

Enquiries are ongoing but officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or who was in the area at the time.
