The carnival will parade around the streets of Evesham tomorrow (Saturday June 29) starting and ending on the Crown Meadow. Evesham Carnival is now approaching its 91st year and is organised by the Vale of Evesham Round Table alongside a dedicated committee of volunteers. Sponsorship has come from several local companies including The Valley whose generous support is crucial in ensuring the continuation of the carnival.

“The Valley is proud to again act as the main sponsor for this fun traditional family event within the heart of the Evesham community. It makes for a great day out and has something for everybody to enjoy. We want to help ensure the Evesham Carnival will showcase all of the local groups and charities taking part,” said Fiona Spears, retail marketing manager for The Valley.

In 2018 there were over 20 floats taking part in the parade and £3,850 was raised for local charities and good causes.

"We aim to build on the success of last year’s event to ensure that we continue to raise important funds for local charities as well as providing a platform for any local group to promote themselves to the people of the town," said Adam Spiers from the Vale of Evesham Round Table and on the carnival committee.

The 2019 Evesham carnival has packed programme of entertainment for the whole family running throughout the day, at its centre will be the Carnival Parade. Evesham Carnival is an annual free public event whose origins date back to 1928.
