The bravery and willingness to listen to these thieves instructions stopped anybody from getting hurt.
It was a scary experience for us all and we are all shaken up but the main thing is we are safe and unharmed.”
DCI Ian Wall said: “We believe three individuals entered the shop on Davies Road at around 10pm on Sunday. We have one suspect in custody and our investigation is still on-going to find those responsible for threatening staff and taking a quantity of cash from the shop.

Matt Snape posted on Facebook: “Last night, hard-working staff at the Coop on Davies Road in my old ward of Evesham South were involved in a horrific attack. I absolutely deplore what they did.”
“These people work hard night and day to serve people of all walks of life. They do not deserve to be subjected to these attacks. I went and paid a visit to the staff to see how they are doing. They seem to be doing as well as they can be.”

Investigations are currently on-going.
