A GROUP of colleagues will be climbing Kilimanjaro for UNICEF.

The seven day trek will cover 70km and an ascent of 4075 metres, climbing from the heat of the Senengeti to the snow covered peak. At 5,895 metres (19,340 feet) it is the highest free-standing mountain, and the 5th highest, in the world. Robert Redman from Bishampton and a group of his colleagues will take on the climb in 2020.

The costs of the climb will be covered by the team's employer Autovista Group.

The team will also spend three days in October walking in the Lake District, climbing Cat Bells, Helvellyn and Skiddaw.

The team want to raise £24,000 for UNICEF.
