IN a first for Herefordshire Growing Point, they will have a show garden at the Malvern Autumn Show.

The garden will showcase the charity's work throughout the county of Herefordshire and its borders.

The project is the result of hard work by many of Herefordshire Growing Point's 300 clients and volunteers.

Felicity Weeks who is overseeing the project said 'this has been a real team effort, what the gardeners have achieved has been fantastic! They've been having a great time painting, making scarecrows and potting up'.

During the show they will also host some activities.

There will be planting demonstrations - planting in containers is often a rewarding solution for gardeners with disabilities.

Join the team at 2pm this Saturday and Sunday, September 28-29 for a demonstration of planting a 'Bulb Lasagna' - the layered planting in pots to create a sequence of a colourful display from March to May (no booking required).

During the day on Saturday and Sunday you can;

• Vote for which scarecrow you like best.

• Enter a prize draw each day to win a selection of plants from Old Court Nurseries, Colwall.

Herefordshire Growing Point is located in the Family Green on the corner of Avenue G and Row 4, next to the Alchemy Garden.

They look forward to seeing you there!
