A FOOTBALL club's members have created a huge work of art and need public votes to win a national competition.

Pershore Town Football Club has been shortlisted for the finals for its field art for the OVO Energy Tour of Britain Land Art Competition.

The club's land art piece was created on the day of the OVO energy time trials.

It was made entirely from the youth team’s equipment.

On the club’s pitch, they displayed the land art with football shirts, football socks, cones, balls and a flag, and the creators stood with their piece waving and cheering on the day.

Jacqui Marler from Pershore Town Football Club said: "We were all standing at the bar and we just had some ideas and just drew them down. We just thought we wanted to get as much in as we can with regards to the British bike tour."

Clubs across the country have entered.

The entry with the highest votes will be crowned the 2019 land art winner and receive a trophy presented to them in person by our race director Mick Bennett. The entries with the second and third top votes will be our final runners up.
