Students and staff at Evesham College donned their pyjamas to raise funds for BBC Children in Need.

Early Years Educators from the college raised a total of £180 in just 90 minutes for the children’s charity.

Sixteen students organised the fundraising appeal, which included a wide range of classic school fair attractions, including a tombola, cake raffle and teddy bear raffle.

The tombola and raffles were all supported by donations from staff at the college, with more than 50 items donated to the tombola, there was also a Guess The Sweeties in the Jar challenge

Teacher Victoria Newman baked the cake for the raffle, which was Children in Need themed.

Victoria said: “Some of these students only joined us in September so it was great to see them all come together to organise this fundraising drive.

“Every student had role and it was a real team effort.  We had great support from staff across the college and people coming through reception on the day.

“We would like to thank everyone who donated and supported the appeal, helping us to do our little bit for BBC Children in Need.

“We try to do as much fundraising as we can as a department and will be working with our local food bank around Christmas and Easter too.”
