A SECOND half brace from Adam Hockey helped Lads Club to secure their fifth league win of the season as they hit Newent Town for six.

The result saw Danny Moon's men move up to seventh in the league with 18 points on the board.

The first goal came from Liam Jones inside 15 minutes at Newent Town, as he followed up from a corner which was cleared off the line.

James Hancocks then forced the home keeper into parrying his effort, but Ashley Lear couldn't find the target after the rebound fell to him.

Kiea Cowley doubled his side's advantage with a long-range effort, before Lear did find the back of the net as Lads Club went into half time with a three-goal lead.

Adam Hockey then added goals four and five to the tally after the break, before Tom Bendall scored his first of the afternoon to put the result beyond doubt.
